March 2008

With great disappointment I report that I was not accepted into DU. That being said I now need to think very hard on what I will do post-graduation.

I still plan on attending graduate school. I will have to keep myself busy for the next 6 months before I can start applying to other schools.

I am young, and I’m sure I have many disappointments ahead of me. Now I need to bounce-back and move forward!

I was happy to see that ArtAwake 2008 was well received by the community. There was a good turnout and the art and music made for a stimulating night.

The first thing I did when I entered the space was look for my work…of course.

Below are a couple shots of the space…

With my background what it is…it was very hard to see all the “imperfections” with which some of the work was displayed. Take mine for example, the labels were falling off of the “wall” and the work was not hung straight. This may not have bothered anyone else in the room, but I can not help but have a perfectionistic look on these things.

Overall it was a fun show and I am happy I was able to participate. Now I look forward to exhibiting again…

Visit my website!! I changed the opening/splash page slightly…I added a bit of Flash.

Fun! Fun! Fun!

Last night I framed and matt the five pieces from Constructed Landscapes for ArtAwake 2008. They look amazing!! I dropped them off at The Sage Art Center downtown and now anxiously await to see them hang on the walls of Station 55 this Friday night. Please check back this weekend to see images from the event!!

I am member #2925 of artreview.com. You can find my page here.

This is just another way for me to network, network, network!!

I’m on the ArtAwake 2008 website!

OK…so I changed the look of my site a lot sooner then I thought I would. I’m now determined to make a fabulous site! I’m not there yet…but I think I’m getting closer.

I can now be found on Art Cloud. :-)

Exciting news!!!! My series Constructed Landscapes has been accepted into the ArtAwake 2008 exhibit!!! I’m so excited!!

On Friday March 28th, 2008 Station 55 will become ArtAwake! If you’re going to be in the Rochester area I would highly recommend going, this is going to be a great show full of art, music, and conversation!

I was working at the Art Center today and they city shut down East Ave. to clear the roads of all the snow…so bizarre to watch, especially when you’re from a small town! They’re preparing for the St. Patrick’s Day parade this weekend. Here are some images I quickly shot from inside the front gallery! So funny!!
